Exagrid 'is strong midsize player'

20 Nov 2008

Scalable disk-based backup solutions vendor Exagrid has announced that it has been rated the second most in-use backup with data de-duplication product vendor in midsize enterprises.

Exagrid has shown it is becoming a rising player with developing prominence in the midsize enterprise category, Robert Stevenson, managing director of Storage Research for TheInfoPro claims.

Indeed, its backup solutions were rated for their high performance and scalability, while highlighting that the vendor is the only one in the midsize enterprise to deliver backup job aware reporting, allowing customers to lower costs and maxmise de-duplication benefits, Exagrid says.

Furthermore, it is a cost-effective deployment with over 70 customer success stories - more than its counterparts combined.

"The fact that ExaGrid has emerged in TheInfoPro's Wave 11 study as the second most in-use vendor demonstrates that customers are increasingly choosing our scalable, high-performance GRID-based architecture over the less scalable legacy products in the market," comments Marc Crespi, vice-president of Product Management at ExaGrid.

Indeed, the vendor was recently chosen by Heil Trailer International to provide faster and more efficient backups and restores.
